• I was born and raised on the beautiful island of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, where I currently reside.
• Many people know me by my initials: N.Y.C. (Nicole Yvette Canegata).
• I am a Caribbean based commercial / editorial architectural, food, portrait & travel photographer, dabbling in fine art as much as I can.
• I graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography.
• Once upon a time, I lived on a ship for 100 days, circumnavigating the world, with Semester at Sea.
• To date, I have traveled to 6 continents, 54 countries, and over 190 cities across the globe (check out my travel blog) – 100 countries is my life goal.
• I won a karaoke contest some time ago, singing “Don’t Speak” by No Doubt & “Killing Me Softly” by the Fugees.
• Travel, Photography and Yoga are my true passions.
• I love the ocean and live for full moons.
• I could eat sushi everyday.
